Diablo III - This is the original, vanilla version of Diablo III WITHOUT the add-on. Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition is due out on August 19. Ultimate Evil Edition is the name they gave to the console versions of Diablo 3 + reaper of souls.
That should be a relief for storage-conscious PS4 players in Europe. "While Ultimate Evil Edition has been localized in English, German, French, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Italian, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese, we expect most players will only be playing in their preferred language and so only downloading about 15GB to play the game." For players who’ve been holding off on bringing justice to Diablo on console, now is the perfect time to join the fray, as the Ultimate Evil Edition is a maxed-out version of the game, with Diablo III and all of the latest updates for that, plus all of the new content that we launched with the Reaper of Souls expansion. The 37.8GB file is the total file size for the English, French, German, Italian, and European Spanish packs, while the 20.5GB download includes the Polish and Russian language options. "Currently, Sony posts the maximum download file size for all of its digital games, and those download numbers includes all of the European language packs.
The European download is so much larger because of the various language packs it includes, a Blizzard spokesperson tells Joystiq:
I decided to get it on PC now because the limitations on PS3/360 but if you have a PC that will barely play the game then there is not much point in getting the PC version. The Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition file size on PS4 is 58GB in Europe, which is more than double the size of the US version, which clocks in at 26GB. I bought D3 when it came out on PS3 a year ago and had a lot of fun. They still exist, you just won't see as much variaty.ĭespite all of this it is still a good version if you cannot play on PC.
Be advised that some wireless connections do not meet the minimums required to be a true Broadband Internet connection. While Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition is fun solo, this is a game built on the principle of the more the merrier. Internet: Broadband Internet connection.Memory: 1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista® and Windows® 7 users).
So, the PC version is still the best the way to go.
A major game changing 2.1 patch for the PC will be hitting later this month and Blizz has confirmed they will update the X1/PS4 versions to 2.1 as well but will not support Seasons/Ladders that the PC version is getting with 2.1. The current gen console versions of the game will get a day 1 patch to version 2.0.6 to match the PC. Managing inventory can be extremely frustrating as well with the console interface. Secondly, if you intend on playing public games on Xbox Live, you are 99% likely to encounter an uncontained infestation of people with modded gear and characters. That being said, If you absolutely have no way to play the PC version, I still cannot recommend the 360 version for several reasons.įor starters, both the 360/PS3 versions are extremely outdated compared to the PC version and will not be getting any updates. There is little, if any, slow down on the 360. I can't speak for the X1/PS4 versions but as an owner of the PC and 360 versions I can say that the mob density is fine.
